Thank you Sean for another wonderful and effective reminder. I loved your pointer to the difference between Answer and the solution. We are so confused, we don’t understand the problem that we made up, (we don’t remember we made it up) and asking for the solution to the problem that doesn’t exist! All we need to do is to relax for an instant from the compulsive insistence that we know something, we understand something, we may come up with solution to our perceived problem maybe for this time even though we failed every time. But we are so conditioned and repeated this method so many times, that letting go doesn’t happen easily. Hearing this reminder over and over again and sharing our experiences really helps. Little by little we become more aware how crazy is this ego machine and it doesn’t bring anything we want then we withdraw our identification and go Home 😊
I LOVE this phrase - ""the compulsive insistence that we know something, we understand something . . . " Thank you for that. It is so so hard to see that insistence - that addiction - let alone give it to the Holy Spirit. And thank you, too, for the reminder that working together - reminding each other, supporting each other, guiding each other, and consenting to BE guided - are how we undo it, both individually and collectively.
So you're welcome :) But also, thank you for being here and helping to complete the circle. We are in this together 🙏🙏
Sean, thank you so much for this. Your words and the light you shine on the words of others has struck a deep chord this morning. Such deep gratitude for you and for this Community. 🙏
Thanks Sean for another meaningful post. I like how you tell us how to get us back on track with the Holy Spirit. Just by giving our full attention on the issue and to notice what beliefs are holding up the problems, what our assumptions and biases are about them. Then by forgiving those underpinnings, we will see the light. Brilliant! Thanks!
It's become pretty clear to me that we "came" to experience love, expand and to share it. Yes, the guilt sin and fear is part of it. However, once the veil is lifted and we realize we are only Love, we can move toward the solution. We can choose once again. The ego is quick to try to mire me in metaphysics. I'm so glad the Holy Spirit is there quietly waiting to reaffirm my reality and my function. I'm really grateful for your notes. They always seem to appear at the right time.
Thanks for reading and sharing, Susan. You always say in a handful of sentences what it takes me about twenty paragraphs to figure out :) I'm grateful for you 🙏🙏
We are the lamp ! Thank you so much for the light you are. Everyone of your posts have brought a light to me. Thank you for teaching me how to remember we are the light. Together as a collective. We are all in this together. I am very grateful. 🙏🏻
I so appreciate the light you shine, Sean. This really speaks to me today. I especially love this line: "Looking at what is within and loving what is without are synonymous; the one makes the other possible. Healing is both intensely personal and deeply collaborative." Amen, amen, amen. Blessings to you and yours.
I can't help but be reminded of the Anchorman movie quote 'I love lamp' :-)
Sometimes I think (ok, I know) I spend far too much time theorising and too little time applying. Theorising is mind stuff and my mind is far too prone to causing problems, but it loves the perceived meatiness. It likes a knot to really get into!
It's just dawned on me that I've spent a very productive day with one of my customers and in a short moment of rest and coffee break, for whatever reason, your post this week has come to mind as part of my realisation that this has been a 'good day'. Interesting, engaging, challenging at times. And, not for one second over the past few hours have I felt 'spiritual' or engaged in anything consciously related to ACIM or anything else, for that matter. But the day has flowed, without anything other than a loose sense of stressless direction. Relationships have been formed and deepened. Things have come up and led to the next. Life has been lived.
Thank you for sharing, Martin - sorry I'm just getting to this - I've been a bit drifty lately. The tension between application and theory is such a rich space - I love thinking, love abstraction, love meta-conceiving, et cetera. And yet if it doesn't sugar our in application - like literally the ordinary day-to-day relating and living, working and playing, then it's a distraction.
But at the same time, the application has to infuse and inspire the theorizing. That's the part that I am often confused by - allowing my living to extend into the theorizing and abstracting and conceiving. There's a dance there, and I tend to lean too hard to one sie or the other.
And I hear you - when it's working, it's a flow. The flow is how I KNOW it's working and that I"m not privileging one side or the other. But Lord in Heaven it's not easy!!
Thanks for being here and connecting and egaging. I'm very grateful.
Sean this post is timely for me. It gives me the fellowship that I don’t have at this moment. My situation at this time has given my resistance the excuse it wanted and I felt justified in sleep walking for that’s what I have been doing. How blind I was. Thank you Sean
Hi Sean. I'm sorry I've been so behind on email and comments and all that. Thank you for being here; thank you for sharing. I know a lot is going on right now. I so appreciate your presence here and your gentleness and kindness. Walking this journey with you has been - and continues to be - a real privilege for me. Thank you, Sean.
