Hi Sean.

Reading your latest post on Love it brought back to my mind many times I used the well-known phrase, I love you , I love my job ,I love all that belongs to me ect ect .

While studying acim or should I say trying to study acim I have often asked myself what does ( I was going to write another phrase there but I thought I better not Lol ) love really mean to me. The answer I've come up with is, none of all of the above .

Still I'm not sure what it means to me, but I continue to filter out what it doesn't mean to me.

Thank you Sean for sharing.

Yes . . . getting clear on what love is not is a good way to reach the limits of our capacity for knowing at all, which then opens the door to becoming willing to learn from the Holy Spirit what love is in the affirmative . . . I'm glad you're here and appreciate you sharing as well . . . we are all in this together 🙏🙏

Wow, that was a powerful, honest, article. I love this sentence.... “Fears to love and loves to hate” . . . If phrases could be middle names, that would be mine. That phrase is my middle name too. As I came to the end of the article I was very aware that I find it hard to forgive myself....Thanks again for sharing Sean, so very helpful.

Thanks for reading and sharing, Glenda. Yes, self-love - self-care, self-acceptance - is the foundation of loving others and being of service. If we cannot forgive ourselves - if we cannot truly accept ourselves as children of a loving God - then we are just going to reenact the same hurtful cycle of separation over and over. Fortunately, there is another way, and it is the invitation to join like this - being honest witnesses together unto our experience of being human, and allowing each other to remind us we are not alone, are innocent and good. Together we are the cause of healing in a loveless world. Thank you for being here 🙏🙏

Dear Sean

Love is a sophisticated feeling.

We are still learning to respect.

Thank you Sean.

Deep down I always knew (even before the Course) that what I thought love was could not be true. I can’t put it into words or even describe it but twice, in the many times I’ve asked HS to show me what love is, it was a “feeling”.

I think I know what love isn’t. It’s not the love I have for family, friends, pets ect. Also, I have to admit that I really don’t know what I am, what God is or what love is.

I’ll keep asking HS to show me. He shows me through the honest teaching of friends like you and a few others that I follow, knowing that one day I’ll know.

In the meantime I’m enjoying the “ah ha” moments and walking the walk with friends like you.

Much “love”

Thanks for sharing, Dee, and especially for framing it this way - knowing what love is not. Yes - that is it. When we can see that the ego's definition of love is a lie we have fallen for, and then no longer buy into it, then we become teachable. Then the Holy Spirit can respond more fully and fruitfully to our inquiry. Thanks for being so clear.

And yes - sharing the way with friends IS the way. We are in this together.

Much "love" right back. Thank you for being here.
