Thanks for the reminder Brother. Thatβs one of my favorite prayers from the course. The world is certainly not shorting us on forgiveness opportunities of late!
βThe way we see others is our responsibilityβ So true! A mentor told me years ago that if I have a resentment towards someone, the problem always lies with me. I thought he was delusional. Until I really started examining my part in those resentments. I still get lots of reminders that when I expect other people to think, speak or behave in a certain way, Iβm setting myself up for unhappiness, for sure. βExpectations are resentments under constructionβ as they say.
Itβs not easy, especially in todayβs polarized environment (an environment that ACIM tells me isnβt real - still struggling with that notion), but I work on it daily, and the ACIM lessons certainly help! Thanks for sharing this today
You're welcome Mark - thanks for being here. I have been thinking a lot lately about defenselessness - nonviolence generally - and how I think it really dovetails with ACIM's call to not judge others. It's hard but there's a lot of peace in it. I do think that "not judging" is impossible if we don't also turn our mind over to the Holy Spirit. It's a two-step move.
Yeah, the world isn't real is a big lift, kind of an impossible one really. In my experience it comes more in the nature of a slow dawn then a sudden lightning strike. But I am a slow learner :)
Sean, just want to let you know that the Holy Spirit is using your writings.
This article was sitting in my inbox this morning and it just happens to be what I was studying in the text, and meditating about over the weekend. Hmm. I believe the Holy Spirit and I have some work to do on this subject!
Hey Deb - I love it when the cosmos lines up that way - beautiful resonance! Or else just God going by the name Synchronicity :) Thanks for being here ππ
Thank you Sean. Peace
Thanks for being here Rebecca ππ
